Back together, Reykjavík 2011
After six years of silence, the first crack in the hiatus appeared: Quarashi agreed to perform a one-off gig on 9 July 2011 at Besta hátíðin, Iceland's Best Festival. It was meant to be a single reunion show — a chance for the band and their fans to meet again on a stage.
The spark refused to go out. That July, Quarashi also tore down Reykjavík's legendary NASA nightclub, in a show that fans still talk about. The night was captured on the live album 'Quarashi á Nasa' — twelve songs of proof that the band had lost nothing in the years apart.
The same year, the compilation 'Anthology' arrived on Laxmenn Ehf, pairing catalog classics with live tracks recorded at Besta Útihátíðinni 2011. It was a preview of what a full return could look like — and the first hint that the hiatus wouldn't last forever.
