The Reunion and Þjóðhátíð í eyjum

In 2016, the dam broke. Sölvi Blöndal and Steinar Fjeldsted appeared on RÚV, Iceland's national broadcaster, and confirmed what fans had dreamed about for a decade: Quarashi was back — and not just with some of the members. All five of them.

The reunited lineup — Sölvi, Höskuldur, Steini, Ómar, and Tiny — marked the first time every voice from every era of the band shared a stage and a studio. Rather than choosing between eras, Quarashi chose everyone.

The group released 'Chicago', their first new music together in over a decade, and the response proved the wait had only sharpened the hunger. The reunion turned a nostalgia story into a new beginning.
